Around Town Publications is a locally owned newspaper.  We service five area counties which are Bath, Fleming, Nicholas, Mason and Montgomery counties.  We have been in operation since 2015 and publish articles about local history, events and people around your town.

About us:

Tisha Thomas resides in Bath County and is publisher and the graphic designer.  She has worked in the newspaper industry since 1993 beginning her career with the Flemingsburg Gazette, Bath County News Outlook, co-owner of The Messenger, The Mt. Sterling Advocate, Around Paintsville and Around Louisa.  She has won numerous excellence awards in the Kentucky Press Association for design.

Debbie McCord resides in Cowan, with her husband Danny.  She has thirty years experience in the advertising field serving in radio and newspaper.  She began her newspaper career with the Flemingsburg Gazette in 1997, was co-owner of The Messenger and has worked for other publications through the years.  Her years of advertising expertise are invaluable to any business.

Kimberly King resides in Flemingsburg, with her husband Kevin.  She is a columnist and blogger, as well as feature story writer. She worked at The Messenger, the Flemingsburg Gazette and Bath County News Outlook.  She is an avid history buff and loves to research ancestry.

Carolyn Schwartz resides in Flemingsburg with her husband Gene.  She is a retired teacher and joined the newspaper industry in 1997 with the Flemingsburg Gazette.  She also worked at The Messenger during its operation.  She is a wonderful columnist and feature writer.

Chloe Smith of Carlisle also joined Around Town in 2019 as a feature writer.
